Ottawa, ON -- Grizzlies narrowly defeated by Algonquin, fall 54-50.

The first quarter saw Georgian take an early lead, outscoring Algonquin 16-10. Georgian's Lily Roberts-Neef (St. Thomas, ON) made a quick and early impact with 8 points, including a 3-pointer. However, Algonquin quickly responded in the second quarter, scoring 19 points compared to Georgian's 13.

The third quarter saw Algonquin extend their lead even further, scoring 17 points to the Grizzlies' 11. Despite a strong effort from Georgian in the fourth quarter, where they outscored Algonquin 10-8, but it wasn't enough to secure a victory.

Janella Viado (Milton, ON) had a standout performance, scoring 14 points and grabbing 4 rebounds. Ami May (Raymond, AB) also made an impact with 13 points and 10 rebounds. 

The Grizzlies return home to wrap up the 2023-24 regular season with games on friday night vs. Loyalist and Saturday vs. St. Lawrence.
