Men's Volleyball Stay Unbeaten at Home with Straight-Set Win over Durham
BARRIE, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team showcased their dominance with a commanding straight-set victory over Durham, winning 25-19, 25-23, 25-23. Leading the charge, Aidan Watson (Barrie, ON) delivered an exceptional performance, racking up 13 kills with a .500 hitting percentage, while Ryan Vriezema (Midhurst, ON) added 12 kills and an impressive .526 hitting percentage. Their combined efforts spearheaded the Grizzlies’ attack, which operated at an efficient .333 clip for the match.
Ethan Eiselt-Rolfe (Barrie, ON) was instrumental in facilitating the offense, tallying 36 assists and contributing six digs, ensuring smooth transitions between defense and attack. On the defensive front, Josiah Grimm (Orangeville, ON) and Kaleb Cole (Stratford, ON) provided key contributions, with Grimm tallying five digs and four block assists to stifle Durham's offensive attempts.
The Grizzlies’ balanced play extended to the service line, where Aiden Kenney (Barrie, ON) notched two aces and chipped in five kills. The victory reflected Georgian’s cohesive team effort and tactical execution, allowing them to maintain control throughout and secure an important home win.
