Women's Hockey Registration

TO REGISTER:

• Complete Registration Form
• Complete Online Payment process (Payment link will be provided after the registration form is filled out via confirmation email, must use a credit card)
• Once you have completed both the payment and the waivers you are registered.

BWHA WOMEN'S LEAGUE

Georgian participates in the Barrie Women's Hockey Association (BWHA) Tier 1 league and will be selecting a roster of 18-22 players to participate on that team, which will be the core of Georgian's Extramural hockey team. This team competes against other college "Rec Select" teams in tournaments in the fall and winter as part of Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR), the competitive recreation arm of the OCAA. Georgian are the defending OCR RECCup Silver Medallists. 

If there is enough interest (aka more than 22 players interested), we will provide players with the chance to join another BWHA team for the same "Georgian" price and/or create a women's rec league with existing ice time here at Georgian. 

Players can register and see if this fits in to their schedule and their hockey needs and if not, will be eligible for a refund until the end of October. If you have any questions, please contact Sterling Ivany (Coordinator, Campus Recreation)

EXTRAMURAL (REC "SELECT") TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTION

ONLY PLAYERS REGISTERED ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN  EVALUATION SESSIONS 

• We will be hosting player evaluation sessions in September and early October to select players for the BWHA team, the Extramural Team pool.
• Your registration fee includes an option to register for one or all evaluation sessions. 
• Evaluation session is open to ALL registered players.  
• Women’s Hockey Extramural Coaching Staff will then invite players to join the Extramural Club (REC SELECT) Team, which includes eligibility for weekly practices along with exhibition games and Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR) tournaments, culminating with a Regional RECCup Championship in early March and Provincial RECCup Championship in late March.
• All players will be eligible to be selected to the roster of the Barrie Women’s Hockey Association Tier 1 League (BWHAT1) 
• The BWHA Tier 1 team plays on Mondays between 7:00 PM & 11:00 PM at East Bayfield Arena & Allandale Arena in Barrie
• There are a total of 20 games over both semesters in BWHA and 12 games in Georgian Rec Hockey over two semesters. Play starts in late September and goes until March. 
• All games are non-contact and a full face-shield and shoulder pads are required.
