Women's Volleyball Drop Match to Seneca
Barrie, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies battled hard, but came up short in a straight-sets loss (15-25, 23-25, 22-25) on Michele McConney Court. Despite the defeat, the Grizzlies showed resilience and flashes of strong play, particularly in the tightly contested second and third sets.
Patrycja Sajda (Scarborough, ON) led the charge for Georgian with a standout performance, notching 10 kills, two solo blocks, and a total of 13 points, making her a key contributor on both offense and defense. Emma Kot (Weyburn, SK) and Neveah Garcia (Barrie, ON) added to the attack with four kills apiece, with Garcia achieving an impressive .571 hitting efficiency. Setter Mackenzie Roy (Edmonton, AB) provided 22 assists, orchestrating the Grizzlies’ offense, while Cassidy McClenaghan (Whitby, ON) anchored the defense with a team-high 17 digs.
Georgian's defensive efforts, highlighted by 44 total digs, kept them competitive, but capitalizing on offensive opportunities will be a focus moving forward. The Grizzlies will aim to build on their promising moments as they prepare for the next matchup, determined to turn close contests into victories.
