WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEPT BY LORDS

The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team hosted the Durham Lords on Wednesday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.

It was a tough night for the Grizzlies.

Georgian came out to a solid start battling the undefeated Lords, but it didn't last.

After dropping a tight first set, Durham took over the match the rest of the way to sweep the Grizzlies 3-0 (25-18, 25-7, 25-6).

Kelsey Watson (Barrie) led the Grizzlies with six points while Domenica De Francesco (Barrie) had four points.

The Grizzlies are now in seventh place in the OCAA east division standings with a 2-4 record on the season.

Georgian will be back in action next Wednesday, Nov. 21 when they host the George Brown Huskies at the Georgian Athletic Centre.

The women's game gets underway at 6 p.m. with the men's game following at 8 p.m. Tickets for the game are available at the doors for $5.
