Men's Volleyball Cruise, Sweep Seneca
Barrie, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies delivered a dominant performance on November 27, 2024, as they swept past Seneca in straight sets, securing a 3-0 victory with scores of 25-18, 25-12, and 25-23. From the start, Georgian set the tone, overwhelming Seneca with a potent offensive attack that saw them finish with a 41-25 advantage in kills. Ryan Vreizma (Midhurst, ON) was the standout player for the Grizzlies, notching 18 kills and leading the charge offensively. He was well-supported by teammates Kaleb Cole (Stratford, ON) and Gage McCurdy (Burlington, ON), who added 9 and 8 kills, respectively, making it clear that Georgian's attack was firing on all cylinders.
Seneca, struggling to find their rhythm, could not match Georgian’s intensity or precision. The Grizzlies also proved to be a force behind the service line, with both Christopher De Bruyn (London, ON) and McCurdy contributing 3 aces each. The combination of strong serving and efficient attacking left Seneca little room to recover, as the Grizzlies cruised to victory, even in the tighter third set, where Seneca fought back but ultimately fell short. With this impressive win, Georgian showcased their offensive depth and served notice that they are a team to be reckoned with.
