Grizzlies drop first match of season, fall to Algonquin in straight sets

Ottawa, ON -- Georgian Grizzlies drop first match of season. The final score was 3-0 in favor of Algonquin, with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-16.

Georgian struggled to find their rhythm throughout the match. They had a low attacking percentage of .136, with only 12 kills out of 66 attempts. Their serving was also irregular, with only two aces out of 10 attempts. 

Individual standout performances from the Grizzlies included Liam Ludlow (Barrie, ON) from Georgian, who had four kills and two blocks in the match. Tyrell Belgrove (Markham, ON) also had a notable performance for Georgian, recording eight kills and 14 digs. 

Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball will be back in action tomorrow to finish up the Ottawa roadtrip vs. College La Cite.
