North Regional Champions

After a rocky start to the season the Men's Cricket team had the chance to book their spot at RECCup going into Regionals. The team went into Regionals with a 3-10 record that they accumulated over the past 4 tournaments they played in. 

To start the tournament they went up against Ontario Tech where they previously lost twice to them already. Putting up a tough score to beat of 54 runs your Grizzlies held strong holding Ontario Tech to 46 runs taking the first game 54-46!

Next up we played Durham College where we have won our only matchup against them this season. The team looked to continue that streak by batting first. They put up a really good score of 58 runs and held Durham to only 44 taking the second game 58-44!

We then came up against Seneca College in our third game. We made quick work of them as well putting up 56 runs and holding them to 42 runs taking the third game 56-42 and securing our RECCup birth for the first time in a few years!

In our final game we came up against the defending Regional Champions Cambrian College who were also 3-0 on the day. One final game for all the marbles who will take the Regional title going into RECCup! Cambrian batted first where we defended them brilliantly holding them to 26 runs which meant that we only needed to score 27 runs to secure the title! Which is exactly what we did, your Georgian Grizzlies Men's Cricket team beat the Cambrian Shield 28-26 crowning them Regional Champions!
