CCAA National Championship – Dilley Helps OCAA Women's Team 2 Secure Bronze
KING, ON -- The final round of the CCAA National Championship wrapped up with strong performances from the Georgian Grizzlies. In the women's individual competition, Bryden Dilley (Barrie, ON) concluded the tournament in 9th place. Dilley’s scores included 86 in round 1, 85 in round 2, 87 in round 3, and a solid 82 in the final round, bringing her overall total to 340. Representing OCAA Women's Team 2, Dilley helped her team secure a third-place finish, earning them a well-deserved bronze medal.
In the men’s individual competition, Gavin Prosser (Johnstown, ON) led the way for the Grizzlies, finishing the tournament in 12th place. Prosser had a consistent performance throughout, shooting 79 in round 1, 80 in round 2, 71 in round 3, and a final round score of 75, resulting in a total of 305.
Graeme MacDougall (Huntsville, ON) finished tied for 26th place with a total score of 308. His rounds included 76 in round 1, 79 in round 2, 73 in round 3, and an 85 in the final round.
Chris Miller (Huntsville, ON) ended the tournament tied for 28th, with scores of 78 in round 1, 82 in round 2, 74 in round 3, and 80 in the final round for a total of 314.
Jack Short (Conestogo, ON) wrapped up the championship tied for 41st place, with scores of 81 in round 1, 87 in round 2, 76 in round 3, and an 86 in the final round, totaling 330.
Colton Day (Kamloops, B.C.) finished tied for 43rd, scoring 79 in round 1, 83 in round 2, 82 in round 3, and 87 in the final round for a total of 331.
As a team, the Georgian Grizzlies men's squad finished in 6th place with a combined score of +121, finishing 3 strokes ahead of the 7th place SAIT Trojans. The Grizzlies showcased resilience and teamwork throughout the tournament, as the 2024 golf season comes to a close.
