Grizzlies to Host 2024 OCAA Golf Championship at Barrie Country Club, September 30 to October 2

Barrie, ON -- The 2024 OCAA Golf season will come to an end in Barrie.

Georgian College and the Georgian Grizzlies Golf Program are excited to announce that they will host the 2024 OCAA Golf Championship in Barrie, Ontario from September 30 to October 2 at the Barrie Country Club.

The announcement comes on the heels of the 2024 OCAA Annual General Meeting, where the Grizzlies were unanimously approved as the 2024 hosts by the other member institutions that compete in Golf across the OCAA.

The 2024 OCAA Golf Championship marks the 2nd time in the last year that Georgian College will serve as host for an OCAA Championship. The Grizzlies hosted the 2023 OCAA Men’s Rugby Championship at J.C. Massie Field.

The Grizzlies last hosted the OCAA Golf Championship in 2016 at National Pines Golf Club.

Head Coach Bill Wogden and the Grizzlies are coming off a 2023 season that saw the program continue to make positive strides, both on and off the field. Second-year standout and 2023-24 Georgian Grizzlies Female Athlete of the Year, Bryden Dilley, won Silver at the OCAA 2023 Golf Championships and won team silver at the 2023 CCAA Golf Championships.

The three-day event kicks off Monday, September 30 and runs through to Wednesday, October 2nd.
