Josiah Grimm, Men's Volleyball
Men’s Volleyball | Outside Hitter | 4th Year | Orangeville, Ontario
Josiah Grimm put together a career-best season in 2025–26, earning OCAA Second Team All-Star honours while helping lead the Georgian Grizzlies to one of their strongest finishes in recent years.
The Grizzlies closed the regular season with an impressive 13–3 record, advancing to the Elite 8 before falling to the Fanshawe Falcons, who went on to capture the OCAA Bronze Medal.
At 6’3”, the Orangeville native and Westside Secondary School graduate, made his biggest impact at the net.
Josiah finished the season with:
-
98 kills (1.96 per set)
-
A career-best .441 hitting percentage (3rd in the OCAA)
-
59 total blocks — 1st in the OCAA
-
1.18 blocks per set — 1st in the league
-
168 total points (3.4 per set)
His offensive efficiency took a major step forward this season, but it was his dominance as a blocker that separated him from the rest of the conference. Grimm consistently shut down opposing hitters, controlled momentum swings, and provided a physical presence that opponents had to game plan around.
Over four seasons as a Grizzly, Joey has accumulated 259 career kills, 406 career points, and 110 career blocks. A clear statment to his steady growth and impact within the program.
In his fourth year, “The Grimm Reaper” didn’t just play above the net. He owned it!
