Jason Sache, Men's Basketball
Men’s Basketball | Guard | 3rd Year | Kanata, Ontario
Jason Sache has been the driving force behind one of the most successful stretches in Georgian College basketball history.
The 6’3” guard from Kanata, and All Saints High School graduate, earned OCAA First Team All-Star honours this season while helping lead the Grizzlies to a 14–4 record and the program’s first-ever East Division Regular Season Championship.
He led Georgian in scoring with 315 total points, shooting an elite 57.1% from the field;the highest mark on the team and more than 11 percentage points above the next closest teammate. Across the OCAA, he ranked:
-
3rd in rebounds per game (8.8)
-
3rd in field goal percentage (57.1%)
At nearly nine rebounds per game as a guard, Sache controlled both ends of the floor. His efficiency, physicality, and ability to close games made him one of the most complete players in the conference.
And this rise didn’t happen overnight.
Last season, Sache dropped 33 points in a playoff game, earning CCAA Player of the Week honours and helping Georgian reach the OCAA Final Four. This year proved that performance was no flash in the pan. It was what you should expect.
In just two seasons, Sache has already surpassed 500 career points, a testament to both his production and consistency.
From a Final Four finish to a historic division championship, Jason Sache hasn’t just been part of the momentum. He’s been one of the guys at the center of it.
