LeMay, Collins pace Grizzlies in University/College Championship’s first round

Georgian is coming off an impressive 2015 season that saw them earn a total of eight top-three finishes, including national and provincial medals. The Grizzlies opening round score of 307 (+19) was good for eleventh in the twenty-team field; the top-ten teams through three rounds will advance to Friday's final round.
Matt Lemay, a CCAA National Bronze Medalist, paced the Grizzlies with a one-over seventy-three. The Waterloo native finished second at Georgian's own Grizzlies Invitational last year; his round has him tied for fifteenth and six strokes off the pace.
Jon Collins also had a strong opening day, posting a three-over seventy-three at Morningstar Golf Club. The third-year Grizzly and third place finisher at the 2015 Grizzlies Invitational heads into today's action tied for twenty-third. Midhurst native Brady Zordan shot a six-over seventy-eight, good for a fifty-sixth place tie.
Rounding out the Grizzlies contingent were Denver Dafoe (+9, T-87) and Daniel Knapp (+11, T-94).
