Georgian Barrie Summer 2026 Mixed 3 Pitch Softball League 

 

League Information
  • Pitch to your own team - each batter has 3 pitches to hit the ball.
  • 10 players on the field at one time -  with a maximum of 8 players who identify as male.
  • League will provide bats, bases, balls and umpires.   
  • Players can bring their own bat but  require their own glove. Cleats are optional but highly recommended.
  • Games will be 7 innings, with no new inning after 60 minutes.  
  • Games will be played at the Georgian Ball Diamond between 5pm and 10pm on Tuesdays (& Wednesdays if rain delayed) from May 19th to August 5th. Teams will have a minimum of 1 game a week.
  • There is NO CHARGE to register.
  • Maximum roster size will be 14.

  • Georgian Ball Diamond -  Nelson Street & College Crescent, Barrie ON - (Right beside J.C. Massie Field)
Time
  • Tuesday's between 5pm and 10pm. (If any games are cancelled due to rain - Wednesday's will be the rain day)

PARTICIPATION WAIVER FOR PROSPECTIVE INTRAMURAL PARTICIPANTS

WARNING: READ CAREFULLY! THIS AGREEMENT WILL AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

I understand that participation in the  Georgian College Recreation Program for the 2025-26 academic year ( ie. September 2, 2025, to August 14, 2026) involves certain risks and dangers which are inherent to sport while training or competing and include but are not limited to death, serious neck and spinal injuries, head or eye injuries, serious injuries to virtually all bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons and other aspects of the muscular-skeletal system, and serious injuries or impairment to other aspects of my body, general health, and well-being. The preceding list is not inclusive and is meant solely to emphasize the level of risk and danger inherent in sport at any level of competition. I recognize the risk inherent in the game and hereby release Georgian College, its Board of Governors, Officers, Servants and Agents (“Georgian College”) and/or other institution (s) competing in the event, its Board of Governors, Officers, Servants and Agents (“College”), and the Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA), which includes Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR) from any liability whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the Recreation Program, including any liability due to the negligence or breach of contract in the course of my participation or involvement in the Recreation Program. I further acknowledge that I have read the above release and understand that I am relinquishing any and all rights that I, or any of my dependents, or my heirs, executors or administration might have against Georgian College and the OCAA for any loss, damage, injury or expense suffered by me in connection with this activity associated with my participation in the Georgian College Recreation Program. In consideration of being permitted to compete in the Georgian College Recreation Program, I hereby release and forever discharge from any claim and liabilities whatsoever without limitation I might have against the Georgian College and the OCAA in any of the activities in which I am involved, and make this release on behalf of myself, and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns. I agree that pictures or videos taken of me while involved in this event may be used in promotions/displays and publicity-related multi-media productions. I further confirm that I am over the age of majority. 

 

I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE HAD SUFFICIENT TIME TO READ THIS AGREEMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY, INCLUDING ALL OF ITS TERMS, THAT I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT AND HAVE AGREED TO THE TERMS FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS BINDING ON ME, MY HEIRS AND EXECUTORS.

I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT BY CHECKING THE CHECK-BOX BELOW THAT I AM CONSENTING TO ALL PROVISIONS IN THIS AGREEMENT AND THAT MY CHECK MARK CONSTITUTES A VALID AND BINDING SIGNATURE.

PERSONAL INFO USAGE DECLARATION

Collection and Use of Personal Information: I hereby, give consent to Georgian College to utilize information gathered from my academic record and my student file soley for the purpose of assessing my academic progress and potential or ongoing extramural & intercollegiate athletic eligibility. I further acknowledge that any information gathered may be used for statistical purposes.  

Applicants Declaration: I have given complete and true information.  I also agree that the Athletics Department may release my name and sports photos/videos to the media or use them in various promotional publications, including the display of such on website and social media applications for Georgian College, the OCR, OCAA, and CCAA.
