The Georgian Athletic & Fitness Centre on the Barrie campus is proud to introduce the Grizz Fit program.

Grizz Fit is an eight week wellness challenge designed to help you create a customized exercise program with the guidance of a certified personal trainer to improve your fitness.

Once you sign up, you will be given a fitness assessment to help determine your fitness goals during the program.

In addition, each week a personal trainer will provide an exercise session where you will receive fitness tips and techniques to keep you on track and help your progress.

You will also receive a fitness assessment at the mid-point and at the conclusion of the program to help move your progress further.

As well, for some extra motivation, while you work towards your own personal goals you will earn participation points which can help you win great prizes!

Grizz Fit will run for eight consecutive weeks from Jan. 22 - Mar. 16, 2018.

Registration forms are available from Jan. 8 – 18, 2018 at the Athletic Centre front desk.  Completed forms and fees must be completed by Jan. 18, 2018.


Students (full-time and part-time):  $59.00 + tax

Community members and staff:   $139.00 +tax

Important dates:

Week 1 - Fitness assessment:  Jan. 23, 2-5 p.m. & Jan. 24, 2-5 p.m. in the multi-purpose room

Week 4 - Mid-point assessment: Feb. 16 (drop-in between 11-2 p.m.)

Week 8 - Fitness assessment: Mar. 14, 2-5 p.m. & Mar. 16, 2-5 p.m. in multi-purpose room

*Each participant will attend one Pre and Post Fitness Assessment. Assessments may take 1-1.5 hrs to complete. An appointment time will be provided to registered participants on Jan. 19, 2019.

Weekly guided workout sessions:

Mondays:    12-1 p.m. & 5-6 p.m.

Tuesdays:    11 a.m.-12 p.m. & 7-8 p.m.

Thursdays:   12-1 p.m., 4-5 p.m. & 8-9 p.m.

*It important that you are able to attend at least one of the guided sessions noted above during the 8 week program.
